First Resource Bank Partners With Millennial Group to Create Charitable Fund

First Resource Bank – a locally owned and operate state-chartered bank in Chester County – is supporting local millennials business people in their efforts to positively impact the community.

First Resource Bank partnered with The Millennial Professional Board – all-volunteer group of Chester County young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s – to create The First Resource Bank Millennial Professional Fund at the Chester County Community Foundation, which will serve as the operating base for the group’s charitable efforts.

The two are working together to raise funds and create grants for charities serving Chester County and surrounding counties – particularly those that focus on domestic violence-related issues.

The Millennial Professional Board grew out of the assembly of a group of highly talented and ambitious millennial business professionals interviewed by Chief Retail Banking Officer, John Durso of First Resource Bank. Goals in the formation of this all-volunteer group were to obtain insight and suggestions regarding Millennial Professional buying and banking habits; open the group to networking opportunities and hear from local business leaders; and provide opportunities to work together on charitable initiatives.
