– Can’t read music? No problem, no prior musical experience is needed.
– Afraid of singing in front of others? Chances are many of your fellow students feel the same way. You will be in a comfortable, judgment free environment. Imagine that!
– Worried about the time investment needed? Each weekly lesson takes only an hour of your Monday evening: after dinner and before dessert.
– Already have experience singing and want to take it up a notch? The simple curriculum takes you from basic fundamentals to advanced concepts.
Under the direction of Rick Serpico, Bill Oppenheim and Doug Pratt, the Mainliners Chorus have been entertaining audiences of all ages around the Delaware Valley with some of the finest A Cappella music around. From Broadway hits to patriotic tunes, gospel numbers, 50’s do-wop or good old fashioned barbershop chestnuts, there’s a song that everyone will enjoy. The chorus has competed on the international stage in Kansas City, Salt Lake City and New Orleans.
Every year they have a special Christmas Show (usually the first weekend in December) and a Spring Show (April 8, 2017) at General Wayne Elementary School Auditorium in Malvern. Every February 14th, they send out quartets to deliver singing Valentines to unsuspecting sweethearts. In the summer, they are often featured at outdoor concerts in the area, such as Rose Tree Park or Miller Park. And throughout the year, they perform at area retirement communities with a program that is sure to please.
