Startup Weekend is coming to WCU
Action | Innovation | Education
Looking for feedback on an idea, a co-founder, specific skill sets, or a team to help you execute? Startup Weekend is the perfect environment in which to test your idea and take the first steps towards launching your own startup.
In just 54 hours, you will experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life at a startup. Learn how to create a real company and engage with the very best mentors, investors, cofounders, and sponsors who are ready to help. Hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurs. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, Startup Weekend culminates on Sunday night with demos and presentations. Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks.
Student Tickets: $20
University Faculty & Staff Tickets: $99 through June 1
General Tickets: $129 through May 19 and $149 from May 20 through June 1
