Get to Know the New Board Member

Please join us in welcoming new member of the GWCC Board of Directors, Rebecca Worthington of Benchmark Federal Credit Union. We asked Rebecca a variety of questions to help us get to know her a little better (and no, this was not part of the interview process).

Where did you grow up?
Born in Fairfax, VA then moved to Richmond, VA for 5 years and finally moved to Downingtown, PA in 4th grade. . . never left Chester County. . . currently reside in Chester Springs!

What’s the most interesting thing about you that isn’t on your resume?
I was a cheerleader all through school (9 years total) and even competed at Nationals in Dallas, TX; which appeared on ESPN!

What’s your favorite movie?
I have 2 favorite movies Grease and Sound of Music (I annoy others because I have to sing along when watching them).

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Still trying to figure that out. . . good thing I have plenty of time.

Where did you go on your most recent vacation?
Disneyworld. . . it was my husband and son’s 1st time and probably my 10th. . . very special for them to experience their 1st time together!

What is one thing on your bucket list?
I want to see the Northern Lights and stay overnight in an Ice Hotel.

Who is your favorite actor?
I don’t really have a favorite actor or actress.

Vanilla or chocolate?
Neither. . . my 1st choice is always Strawberry, but if I had to choose it would be Vanilla.

What’s the last book you read?
With a 5 year old, I haven’t had much time for reading, but when I do a romance novel is usually my 1st choice!

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
To read people’s minds. . . then I would always know exactly what they mean and expect from me. . . this would especially be helpful with my husband and 5 year old son.

If you see a puddle on the ground, do you walk around it or over it?
Actually, I would jump over it, but never in it!!!

If you could go back to anytime in history, what year would you go?
I would go back to the 60’s because I’m a huge Beatles fan and would love to have experienced ‘Beatle Mania’.

If you came back in your next life as an animal, what animal would you be?
A dog; specifically my parent’s dog because they are spoiled rotten…they may even love them more than me and my two sisters.
