Visit Philadelphia Releases Craft Beer Trail of Greater Philadelphia – and Four GWCC Members Made the Cut

Four Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce members made the list of top craft beers in the Greater Philadelphia region

Appalachian Brewing Co., located on Market Street in West Chester.

With Philadelphia being named one of the 14 best beer cities in the world, it should come as no surprise that some of the best beer in the country is made right here in the Greater Philadelphia region. From winning awards at the two biggest events in the beer scene and new craft breweries opening up on (what seems like) every corner, it’s easy to see why the Philly region is considered a bona fide beer haven.

And the best part is, four of our Chamber members made the cut! Check it out!

Appalachian Brewing Company

As the only Appalachian Brewing Company located in the Philadelphia region (located on Market Street in West Chester), ABC has grown into one of the more formidable brewpubs, not only throughout the region but throughout the country. From their signature brews like their Susquehanna Stouts to their vast selection of gourmet food, you won’t be disappointed. Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant

With an impressive expanse of 17 locations spanning across four states, it’s plain to see why this member made the list. Heralded as one of the must-see spots in town, Iron Hill, located on Gay Street, frequently impresses customers with its 16 rotating draft lines, including the Philly Special, named after the legendary, game-winning play made by Nick Foles in Super Bowl LII. And their food is nothing to scoff at either! Check out their website for the full menu and hours: https://www.ironhillbrewery.com/west-chester-pa

Two brews from Sterling Pig Pub, located on Market Street in West Chester.

Sterling Pig Public House

Also located on Market Street, Sterling Pig has something for everyone – from beer to food to atmosphere. Boasting their achievement of the perfect balance between flavor and drinkability, their eight rotating beers, tapped on-site, are always a big hit – and they frequently win awards, from Philly’s annual Brewvitational to the Craft Brewers Conference. All this plus a hearty menu ranging from smoked barbeque to wood-fired pizzas, Sterling Pig checks all the boxes! See more brews and information here: https://sterlingpig.com/

Stolen Sun Brewing & Roasting Co.

Did you know we have members outside of the borough? Located on Pottstown Pike in Exton, Stolen Sun Brewing & Roasting Co. will leave you feeling sublime (and that’s not just a pun about the bountiful hippie vibes from this place!). The owners combined their love for craft beer, coffee and simple scratch cooking all into one place – and it’s paid off! With as many as 17 different beers on tap, plus an affordable pub menu and backyard space with a spot for live music, be sure to add Stolen Sun to your list of ideas for your next night out. Learn more about all their crafts here: https://www.stolensun.com/

We’re already halfway through the summer, so stop in today and congratulate these folks on a job well done and beer well brewed – and be sure to have a beer to see for yourself what all the buzz is about!
