GWCC/WCU Marketing Partnership Program Connects Local Businesses with Free Marketing Help

The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2020 fall session of the GWCC/WCU Marketing Partnership Program. This initiative between the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) and West Chester University (WCU) will connect WCU students with local businesses to assist them with their marketing plans and strategies while giving students real-world experience.

Seniors enrolled in the Marketing Strategy and Planning Capstone class at WCU will work with selected Chamber-member businesses to analyze the issues impacting their marketing efforts, work with the owners to set strategies, and lastly, offer a three-month tactical plan based on the brand architecture and strategy under the direction of WCU professor, Tom Elmer.

Professor Elmer is a SCORE mentor who works with small businesses on their marketing challenges. He has spent over 25 years in sales and marketing senior leadership positions in a variety of different industries with a focus on helping companies grow.

“We’re proud of this exciting collaboration with WCU and pleased to offer this opportunity to our members,” said Dave Fairman, Interim President at GWCC. “This partnership demonstrates the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to deliver valuable programs and resources to support local businesses and our community.”
