Dr. Emilie Lonardi, Superintendent of Downingtown Area School District to speak at GWCC’s Women’s Roundtable series about Navigating as a Female CEO.

The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s (GWCC) upcoming Women’s Roundtable presentation will feature special guest speaker Dr. Emilie Lonardi, Superintendent of Downingtown Area School District, as she discusses the joys – and challenges – of being a female CEO. The presentation is set to take place via Zoom on Wednesday, October 21st beginning at 5:30 p.m.

GWCC’s Women’s Roundtable series, sponsored by Miles Financial Management, Inc., is a social and educational discussion series for professional women to gather and connect while learning from the region’s most poignant female speakers in an intimate setting.

Dr. Lonardi’s topic is Navigating as a Female CEO, and she will discuss: gender disparity among superintendents, despite teaching being a predominantly female industry, stereotypes in the daily work of school superintendents, and much more.

“In a world where women only hold 25% of C-suite positions, we are excited to present such a powerful discussion to encourage women of all ages and say ‘it can be done’,” said Melissa Hawes, founder of Miles Financial Management, Inc. “We are excited to sponsor such a great and well-rounded event like the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Roundtable series.”

GWCC’s Women’s Roundtable featuring Dr. Lonardi will take place Wednesday, October 21st at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. Tickets are $10 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members. For more information and to register today, please visit:
