Community Engagement

Connecting our members to the community is one of the chief tenets of our organization. Our community events draw/engage tens-of-thousands of guests and generate hundreds-of-thousands of dollars in revenue for local businesses.


Professional Development

Offering the best in ongoing educational programming, the Chamber has an impressive portfolio of offerings to accommodate our member’s needs, interests and availability. Our goal is to be a first-class resource for like-minded professionals to learn, teach and connect while providing tools to do better business. Our offerings are constantly evolving as we continuously expand the educational opportunities according to the business challenges of our members.

The Chamber hosts professional development events once a month. As a new member, you will be invited to attend events where you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself and meet other new members. Upcoming events are posted in the Chamber Chatter, on the Chamber website, distributed through weekly membership emails and on social media. The cost varies according to the event and meeting place. Sponsorship opportunities are available exclusively to members.


Recognizing that a thriving business community is an integral part of the outstanding quality of life in the Greater West Chester region, the Chamber advocates for the following principles – Improved Tax Structure & Local Economic Vitality; Improved Infrastructure, including Transit; Training, Education & Workforce Development.

In order to support this mission, the Chamber has made it a priority to educate both the full Chamber Membership as well as the Legislative Delegation of issues of importance.

Build Relationships as a Committee Member

Many of the Chamber’s programs and benefits are made possible by members who volunteer their time to work on committees. Time commitments vary depending on program or task. Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet other Chamber members, gain referrals and contribute to your networking benefits.

Grow your Network

The Chamber schedules a variety of events designed to give members the opportunity to expand their network and promote their business. The nearly 700 Chamber members span from retailers to restaurants, artists to lawyers, and just about everything in between. Opportunities to grow your network include luncheons, business open houses and professional development programs. Business Card Exchanges and Coffee Connections are hosted by member companies at their location when possible. Member-hosted events are scheduled on a “first come/first served” basis according to the Chamber’s event calendar. Contact the Chamber if you would like to host or sponsor a networking event.

Membership Directory & Resource Guide

Our annual Membership Directory is printed annually and delivered to every member business, sent to every student’s household in the West Chester Area School District (over 11,600 students) and shared with local businesses and visitors. ThinkShopBuy…LOCAL is an initiative by the Chamber encouraging the Greater West Chester communities to purchase goods and services from local businesses. Your business is included for FREE with your annual membership. ThinkShopBuy…LOCAL works as a directory listing that will have all the names of participating Chamber businesses in the West Chester area.
